My name is Sherri. First, I would like to explain the title of my blog. I have a sort of philosophy of life in which I take things as they come. My husband has a tendency to worry about everything far in advance. And I find myself frequently saying to him, “We will cross that bridge when we get to it.” I realized that is generally my usual attitude in life. It doesn’t mean that I don’t care or don’t worry. It means that if it is not going to do me any good to worry at this point and there is nothing I can do about it, then I will wait until we get to a point that it is time to make decisions and do something about a problem. Many times there isn’t even actually a problem. My husband will have concerns that a problem could happen and he will worry about it. At this point I will say, “We will cross that bridge when we get to it.’

I have many things going on in my life that I would like to blog about. The main thing I will be blogging about is my upcoming gastric bypass surgery. This will be a major change in my life. I know that many people are either thinking about or are taking that journey and I would like to share my experiences with anyone who is curious.
